Veterans, trauma, and access — without promises
Service members and veterans are not a marketing segment. They are people owed accurate information and a refusal to sell them certainty.
Veterans are over-represented in conversations about psychedelic therapy for a reason: PTSD, moral injury, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, and suicide risk are not abstractions in that community. Curiosity is warranted. So is skepticism toward anyone who treats a DD-214 as a lead.
What respect looks like
- Do not imply that a single session will replace VA care, peer support, or medicines that are working.
- Name cardiac and medication realities — many veterans are on complex regimens.
- Protect privacy. War stories are not content.
- Offer education and gatherings that do not require a psychedelic identity.
- Be honest about legality, cost, and the difference between a trial slot and a retreat.
ZenSynergy’s founders care about this population specifically. That care is expressed here as better information and a place to sit with other people — not as a claim that we have solved trauma.
