Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Wellness Retreat Assistant to support our hospitality services team in creating warm, intentional environments for guest experiences. Reporting to the Chief of Operations & Hospitality Services, Aleja Alchemy, this role involves guest-facing support during retreats, preparation of nourishing food and drinks, and post-event cleanup to ensure seamless, restorative events. This position offers hands-on involvement in our mission-driven retreats, with opportunities to grow alongside our expanding wellness ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
• Guest Hospitality Services: Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing orientation to retreat facilities and activities. Offer personalized support throughout the event, including facilitating check-ins, answering inquiries, and ensuring a serene, inclusive atmosphere that promotes emotional safety and connection—especially for diverse groups like veterans and first responders.

• Retreat Preparation: Collaborate with the team to set up welcoming spaces, including arranging mindful seating areas, ambient lighting, and wellness amenities. Assist in preparing and serving food and drinks aligned with our holistic approach, such as nutrient-rich, plant-based meals, herbal teas, and non-alcoholic elixirs designed to enhance therapeutic sessions and support synaptic synergy.

• Post-Event Cleanup: Efficiently manage teardown and cleaning after retreats, including sanitizing therapy spaces, kitchen areas, and common rooms to maintain our excellent safety profile. Properly store and dispose of materials in compliance with health and cannabis regulations, ensuring readiness for future events.

• Event Support: Help coordinate logistics during sessions, such as restocking supplies, monitoring guest comfort, and providing discreet assistance during contemplative activities. Embody our values of empathy and cultural competence in all interactions.

• Operational Excellence: Maintain inventory of hospitality supplies, assist with vendor coordination for fresh, wellness-focused provisions, and contribute to process improvements for smoother, more impactful retreats.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in hospitality, wellness, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, event coordination, or wellness services, ideally in retreats, spas, or therapeutic environments.
• Basic food handling certification (e.g., ServSafe) and knowledge of safe beverage preparation.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings during retreat schedules.
• Valid driver’s license for occasional local errands (mileage reimbursement provided).

Preferred Skills
• Passion for holistic wellness, mental health advocacy, or experience supporting diverse communities (e.g., veterans, BIPOC individuals).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, intuitive approach to guest care, fostering trust and healing.
• Familiarity with cannabis-related wellness practices and sensitivity to therapeutic environments.
• Organizational prowess and a proactive mindset for multitasking in dynamic, soul-nourishing settings.
